DAN M UDREA, MD

AMANDA COOPER

President and Owner

Dr. Udrea, or Dr. Dan as most of the kids he treats call him, is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry. He has worked in both Acute and School based Partial Hospital Programs. He completed medical school at Carol Davila School of Medicine and did residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Allegheny General Hospital. He has worked in research with ADHD during his time at University of California at Irvine. He has presented at a number of national conferences.  This has allowed him to understand the relevant research which contributes to the standard of care.

He enjoys teaching and has been the Rotation Director for the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Rotation – for Residents and Fellows and has also taught courses in Psychopharmacology for doctorate level students.  He believes that effectively communicating is essential to both good treatment and good teaching. 

 

He has won numerous awards including the Ester Mandelker Excellence in Psychotherapy award and was a Health Care Heroes Finalist for the Pittsburgh Business Times. He practices from the standpoint of collaborative treatment with parents and children or teens themselves.  He believes that if given the right information parents can make appropriate decisions regarding the well being of their children.

Austin Kuiawa, DO

Psychiatrist

Dr. Kuiawa is board certified in General Psychiatry, and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Western Pennsylvania.  He completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and did his residency in Psychiatry at Allegheny General Hospital.  His passion for mental health care is rooted in a commitment to serving and making a meaningful difference in the community he calls home.  He enjoys teaching, and is currently a preceptor for medical students and Family Medicine residents at Butler Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Kuiawa is dedicated to being up to date on the most cutting-edge treatments.  He prioritizes attentive listening and a patient-centered approach, and works to identify the underlying factors affecting mental health to help patients develop practical strategies to address these challenges more effectively.  His passions outside of medicine include playing guitar, cooking, antiquing, the outdoors, and cheering for the Steelers.

NINA DOERR, MSPAS, PA-C

Nina Doerr is a board- certified physician assistant. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Management at Slippery Rock University and her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Pittsburgh. 

 

Nina is passionate about helping patients of all ages develop a greater understanding of the challenges they are currently facing, while working together to manage these challenges through both medication management and therapeutic techniques. She believes thorough and effective care is made possible through collaboration with Dr. Dan, therapists, and patients’ families.

LEAH WARCHOL, MMS, PA-C

Psychiatric Physician Assistant


Leah Warchol is a board-certified physician assistant. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at the University of Alabama. Leah went on to complete her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.

 

Leah is passionate about helping patients of all ages understand and overcome their emotional and behavioral challenges. Through treatment, Leah will work with her patients to help develop a shared understanding of the causes underlying their struggles and address them with a combination of medication management and therapeutic techniques.

Veronica Krol is a board-certified physician assistant. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Science degrees from Saint Francis University, followed by a Doctorate of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

Veronica began her career working in an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric hospital, where she became dual certified in both psychiatry and pediatrics. Her experiences solidified her passion for mental health, leading her to obtain her Certification of Added Qualification in Psychiatry through the NCCPA. Veronica is dedicated to helping patients understand the roots of their emotional and behavioral challenges and works collaboratively with them to 

address these concerns through a combination of medication management and therapeutic approaches. She works closely with Dr. Dan, therapists, and families to ensure an integrated and comprehensive treatment plan.​

JENA WYBRANOWSKI, PA-C

Psychiatric Physician Assistant

Jena Wybranowski is a board- certified physician assistant. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington and Jefferson College and her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University.  

Jena is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment for individuals coping with anxiety, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions by integrating psychotherapy, lifestyle intervention, and medication management. She values taking a collaborative approach working with patients, their families, Dr. Dan, and therapists to create a personalized care plan, to enhance each patient’s well-being.
